A New Chapter

                I wish to take a moment to thank each individual who came to share in trust and participate in our Grand Opening Ceremony; I wish also to send blessings and thanks to all those who wished us well but couldn’t be with us on that most magical night. For me the ceremony was beautiful and timely, it helped me to clarify my present and to reenergize and re-inspire me in the work that I am doing.  So often we can forget to trust in ourselves and in the universe and can find ourselves adrift in despair or simply wanting more out of a present situation. We will find ourselves falling back into our negative thought patterns or regressing to old behaviour patterns which sabotage us from reaching the next stepping stone on our paths.

 

                We will find reminders along the way to trust and have faith; but how can we believe and envision what is to come when we lack the tools to practically carry our trust and faith throughout all situations we are faced with.  That is what this week’s blog is about; I will cover a few simple yet profound tools that will help us clarify our patterns and behaviours that block us from moving forward and how to overcome them with compassion and peace.  When we are living fully in trust, faith and love the emotional tone we experience is very different then when we are shrouded by our doubt, confusion and fear. This will be the first tool; we will learn how to differentiate between the two so we can tell immediately from which state of being we are operating from. For ease of understanding I will be referring to these two states as Love, and the other Fear.

 

                Here are some questions you can ask yourself, what emotions am I experiencing right now? If you can’t name them that is ok, just feel what they feel like and notice if they are comfortable or uncomfortable.  Then ask yourself how you are physically feeling while experiencing these emotions. Does your stomach feel tight? Does your mouth feel dry? Do you notice a light headache or any other uncomfortable sensations? Are you tired and or feel like you are covered in a thick layer of fog? Or do you feel light and free? Does your heart feel like it is so large it could radiate love all through the room? Does there feel like there is a lot of room inside your head and or like you can breathe easier? Do you feel like you are vibrating all over and have boundless amounts of energy? Do you feel hot or cold? (Could be either your internal temperature or physically touching your skin) Now pay attention to your thoughts, are they uplifting, encouraging, do ideas come easily, or are they negative, restricting, judgmental or critical? What you will find once you are finished is a wonderful map of your fear place and alternately your love place.

 

                Once you take stock and if you find yourself operating from a place of love then that is great, keep it going and keep feeding that good energy. If you happen to find yourself operating from a place of fear there are a couple of things you can do, this will be tool two. First try to think back to what started the process that took you into your fear place. Then follow the string of events, what happened to your thoughts, were did they go, then do the same for your emotions and physical sensations. This is important because once we begin to understand the process of our downward fear cycles we can recognize them earlier and earlier and then choose to stop ourselves from continuing the cycle and start to once again operate from our love place. The next tool I will teach you will focus on behaviour.

 

                When a situation arises that initiates our fear place cycle often we will begin to act or behave in ways that are meant to help us and protect us but often do the opposite. These behaviours sabotage us from learning and moving forward, they can be procrastinating to cope with stress, yet inevitably procrastinating always causes more stress, or it can be getting defensive and yelling instead of listening and communicating your feelings. Begin to watch and notice some of the behaviours that re-occur when you enter your fear place, once you have found one start to examine it, does it happen every time or does it only happen in specific circumstances and with specific triggers? Does it work period; in other words does it meet the need you are trying to get met such as safety, security, communicating and being heard etc. and if it doesn’t are there other healthier ways you can do things so that your needs are getting met. Try some of them and see what happens!

 

                These simple tools will begin to give you the space and freedom to choose what you wish to feel, how you wish to act, think, and ultimately how you can always operate from a place of love and trust. In next week’s blog I will begin to discuss tools and exercises that you can do to take you and keep you in your love place and how to enrich and magnify it. I will also briefly touch on how this will help us to manifest our dreams faster! Until then know that you are loved, supported and free.

      The truthful answer is I really don't know. Whether or not the world as we know it ends in 2012 or 3040 I think that the predictions about 2012 are giving us many benefits. it is making us think about our actions, how we use the planet and I do believe has raised the need for going green in our collective minds and the vast amount of companies and people trying to improve their products and pollute less is the proof. While it is true that if mankind as a species continues to abuse the planet we will one day likely cause our own extinction if not a mass extinction,  if we can begin to change and reverse some of the damage that has been done then perhaps that fate can be averted. I do not being afraid of 2012 can help anyone as all you do is flood the world with negative energy, however to simply say it is stupid would be ignorant and dangerous, we need to learn how to live less toxically and it is possible to do this and still lead enriched and joy filled lives.

      Is this a fear that stems from actual exposure or is it just you are afraid of being exposed? If it is the later then do some research on it, the more you can learn about a fear the less of the unknown you can fill with your own thoughts.

      There are many books that deal with this topic. All types of therapy or self-enrichment focuses on it in one way or another. You can try any of Eckhart Tolles books, A course in Miracles although it is large and can be confusing with the semantics and words they choose to use. The Secret although mostly concerned with manifesting discusses this topic as really that is the result of remaining in your love place. If you wish go into chapters and read the back covers of books in the self help section and the ones you find you resonate with or that jump out to you are a great place to start.
